The design of redundant network architecture plays an important role in improving the reliability of digital substation. According to the entire substation automation system, the paper analyzes the typical redundant architecture in the digital substation based on IEC61850, and proposes the feasible improvement schemes with centralized backup pattern and crossover backup pattern.
