Metal free carbon materials such as graphene, diamond, and carbon nanotubes are becoming alternative catalysts for peroxymonosulfate (PMS) activation to avoid drawbacks of traditional transition metal-containing catalysts, such as leaching of metal ions and harshing usage environments.
