《理水》是鲁迅去世前一年所作的最后四篇小说之一，收录于《故事新编》。这篇篇幅不长的小说，具有独特的时代气息，体现了鲁迅强烈的个人风格。通过剖析杨宪益，戴乃迭《理水》英译本中一些文化负载词的异化翻译，可知两人倾向于通过异化翻译策略保留文本独特的文化信息，有益于推动具有中国特色的文学作品走向世界。
