This work was jointly supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China , China (Project No. 51875049/51775178 ) and Hunan Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars of China , China (Project No. 2019JJ1017 ) and The Science and Technology Project of Changsha of China , China (Project No. KQ1801055 ). Xinting Hu is a master of Changsha University of Science and Technology in China. Her current research interests are vehicle safety and traffic accident safety, especially the characteristics of two-wheeler collision accidents and the protection of vulnerable groups. Jing Wan is a master of Changsha University of Science and Technology in China. His current research interests are road traffic accident safety, especially the characteristics of two-wheeler collision accidents and the protection of vulnerable groups. Miao Lin received his Master’s Degree from Chang’an University Auto College in 2012. He is a Minister of Traffic Accident Research, Institute of Vehicle Safety and Identification Technology, China Automobile Technology Research Center. His area of expertise is in-depth investigation and research of traffic accidents. Jing Huang is an associate professor of Hunan University in China. Her main research interests are Vehicle and Traffic Safety, Injury biomechanics, Intelligent Driving. She won the second prize of Hunan Science and Technology Progress Award in 2016. Introduction: We used road crashes between vehicles and two-wheelers from Yinzhou District Ningbo in 2011–2015 from the China In-depth Accident Study (CIDAS) as sample cases. The risk factors of different injury severity grades were analyzed. Method: The classification tree model was used to screen the possible interaction items, and the corresponding regression model was constructed according to the results of the tree model to explore the influencing factors of cyclist injury.
