Carbon fiber reinforced mullite (C/Mullite) composites with favorable mechanical properties have been fabricated through sol-impregnation-drying-heating (SIDH) route in our previous work. For the further optimization of fabrication technology, it is very necessary to elucidate the evolution of microstructure and properties of C/Mullite composites during SIDH process.
