This study explores the impact of AI-driven emotional resilience on academic persistence, motivation, cognitive flexibility, and autonomy in self-regulated learning from a Self-Determination Theory perspective. A total of 534 Chinese students, including 390 females (73 %) and 144 males (27 %), with an average age of 19.38 years, participated in the study. The sample comprised 97.3 % undergraduate students, with a minor representation of master's and doctoral students.
