近年来，随着乡村空心化与城乡二元矛盾的加剧，传统民居地域文化传承受到前所未有的冲击，而地域文化是传统民居的重要属性，民居的建筑符号是其地域文化的外在表现形式。刘氏大屋因地制宜，扎根于湘北地域文化形成了一套极具代表性的传统民居建筑符号。本文对刘氏大屋的建筑特征进行解构，提炼大屋指示、图像、象征符号，挖掘湘北地区的地域文化特征，并结合符号学理论，提出要传承好传统民居地域文化，需要创新文化符号传播的途径，发挥好建筑符号作为地域文化的载体作用，同时加强居民本土文化认同，最终实现传统民居的可持续保护。

In recent years, with the intensification of rural hollowing and the dual contradiction between urban and rural areas, the inheritance of regional culture of traditional folk houses has been impacted unprecedentedly.
