The photocatalytic decolourisation and degradation of an azo dye reactive orange 4 (RO4) in aqueous solution with Sm^3+-doped titania particles as a photocatalyst prepared from (Ti (O-Bu)4) and Sm2O3 by sol-gel method and indicated by the means of XRD and TEM were investigated using solarlight. The results show that the nanoeomposite photocatalysts have high photoeatalytic activity.
