The adsorption response behaviors with n-alkanethiol self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) formed on the surface of polycrystalline gold grains have been investigated in nitrogen and oxygen saturated tetrahydrofuran (THF) solutions by using in situ quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM).
