加纳戏剧家阿玛·阿塔·艾杜的创作始终围绕非洲文化与西方文化的强烈冲突展开，其代表作《阿诺瓦》以主人公离开家乡后的命运变化为脉络，将加纳传统文化的变形和遗忘展现在戏剧受众面前。针对身份认同的记忆危机，剧作家依托地点、象征符号和身体等媒介对文化记忆进行了重构，从而唤醒民众的抵抗意识，最终实现了文化身份认同。
