We expound the reason why it's apt for us to adopt the method of expanding joins,while not welding joins,in repairing leaks of expanded pipe-ends of pipe-nest in great area. The traditional method of expanding joins is to adopt the interlock or square arrangement of the expanded pipe-ends,Though the method is practicable in building boilers,it is usually not so practicable and not satisfactory in repairing boilers.
