The Hamiltonian system is utilized to establish an accurate buckling solution model for piezoelectric material cylindrical shells with stepped thickness. The critical loads and nonuniform buckling modes are obtained by finding the symplectic eigenvalues and eigensolutions of the Hamiltonian equation.
