Fig. 1 displays the process for preparing VO2/PAN transparent thermochromic films by electrospinning-hot pressing technique, which mainly consists of three steps: preparation of VO2/PAN solution; fabrication of VO2/PAN composite nanofiber mats by electrospinning method; hot-pressing method to treat electrospinning mats. The global energy consumption in the building sector is enormous annually, and the energy consumed in the building part is mainly used for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. Smart windows can effectively reduce the energy consumed for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
