An efficient computational method based on a multi-Gaussian beam model has been developed to simulate nonlinear focused beams propagating in solids from a linear phased array. A linear phased array that contains a number of individually connected elements is simply treated as an overall single element transducer, so that the source distribution function can be expanded into the superposition of a series of Gaussian functions; its corresponding radiation linear wave beam is expressed as the superposition of these beams.
