In road engineering, Emulsion Wax Curing Agents (EWCAs) are mainly used for cement concrete construction curing or as the bond breaker between the cement concrete pavement surface layer and the lean concrete base layer. Inspired by the lotus leaf effect, in this research work, a series of the laboratory tests were performed to evaluate the mechanical performances of the icing atop the cement concrete surface coated with an EWCA.
