In the treatment of tuberculosis (TB), drug-resistant tuberculosis arises when Mycobacterium tuberculosis undergoes genetic mutations or acquires resistance through horizontal gene transfer. Identifying the treatment response of TB patients to Rifampicin, a principal medication for TB treatment, is essential for healthcare professionals to make timely and accurate diagnoses. Not only can this approach save on the costs and duration of TB treatment, but it also helps prevent the disease's spread and fatalities.
