Based on the nonhydrostatic model NHWAVE, wave attenuation efficiency of non-submerged rigid vegetation subjected to regular and irregular waves was numerically investigated by designing different computational conditions. The computational reliability of NHWAVE in predicting wave attenuation of non-submerged rigid vegetation was well validated by comparing its predictions with the corresponding measurements.
