Different carbon sources were chosen to synthetize microspheres by hydrothermal method. X-ray diffraction indicated a highly disordered carbon structure. SEM images showed that the carbon microspheres had perfect spherical morphology, smooth surface and uniform particle size of 1-2 μm.
