摘要:
As a successful application of edge computing in the industrial production environment, prolonging the smart devices' (SDs') battery lifetime has become an important issue. In some special practical applications, the uploaded data from SDs to vehicle base stations (VBSs) or servers can be merged between SDs with a fixed size, which is called superposed data. In this article, we consider the superposed data uploading problem in a decentralized device-to-device communication system. The task of the problem is to minimize the total energy consumption of uploading data. We reduce it into a combinatorial optimization problem from the graph theory perspective. For VBSs or servers with infinite capacities, we propose an optimal algorithm with polynomial running time. When VBSs or servers have limited capacities, the problem is NP-hard even in very special cases. For this NP-hard problem, we give two heuristic algorithms and the corresponding numerical simulation results.

In the article, we prove that the inequality Gamma(x + 1) <= x(2)+p/x+p holds for all x is an element of (0,1) if and only if p >= p(0), where Gamma(x) = integral(infinity)(0)t(x-1)e(-t) dt is the gamma function, p(0) = [x(0)Gamma(x(0) + 1)-x(0)(2)]/[1 - Gamma(x(0) + 1)] = 1.755 ..., x(0) = 0.192 ... is the unique solution of the equation psi(x + 1) = [1 - Gamma(x+ 1)][2 - Gamma(x)]/[(1 - x)Gamma(x + 1)] on the interval (0,1) and psi(x) = Gamma'(x)/Gamma(x) is the psi function. Enhanced properties of diatomite-based composite phase change materials for thermal energy storage

摘要:
Diatomite-based composite phase change materials (PCMs) with enhanced properties were prepared by vacuum impregnation method for thermal energy storage. Diatomite is used as a supporting matrix in composite PCMs due to its natural high porosity and relatively low price. Particularly, diatomite after microwave-acid treatment (D-m) with higher loading capability compared to raw diatomite was used as a supporting matrix to stabilize lauric acid-stearic acid (LA-SA). To improve the thermal conductivity of the composite PCMs, expanded graphite (EG) was introduced as a support matrix together with D-m at a weight ratio of 1:10 of EG to D-m. FTIR and XRD analysis indicated that the crystal structure of diatomite was not affected by the microwave-acid treatment and addition of EG, and no chemical reaction occurred between LA-SA and supports during impregnation. Devised LA-SA/D-m/EG with 72.2% loadage of LA-SA and a phase change temperature of 31.17 degrees C had latent heat value of 117.30 J g(-1) for melting and 114.50 J g(-1) for freezing, respectively. The thermal conductivity of LA-SA/D-m/EG was up to 3.2 times that of LA-SA/D-m. The thermal infrared images presented that the transient temperature response of LA-SA/D-m was enhanced after introducing of 2.5 wt% EG. Therefore, the prepared composite phase change material is a potential candidate for thermal energy storage in the indoor thermal comfort system, especially the building envelope. 摘要:
We find that mixing existing forecasting models can significantly improve prediction performance of stock returns. Empirical results suggest that the stock return forecasting by three proposed mixed models are more significant both in statistical and economic terms than the corresponding models in Campbell and Thompson (2008), Wtalg et al. (2018) and Zhang et al, (2019). This improvement of predictability is also remarkable when we employ the multivariate information to predict stock return. The prediction performance of mixed models is robust to a series of robustness test. Particularly, the three proposed mixed models obtain superior out-of-sample forecasting performance of stock return for business cycles, rolling window predictions and different out-of-sample periods.

摘要:
Demand for energy in day to day life is increasing exponentially. However, existing energy storage technologies like lithium ion batteries cannot stand alone to fulfill future needs. In this regard, potassium ion batteries (KIBs) that utilize K ions in their charge storage mechanism have attracted considerable attention due to their unique properties and are therefore established as one of the future battery systems of interest among the scientific community. Nevertheless, the development and identification of appropriate electrode materials is very essential for practical applications. This review features the current development in KIBs electrode and electrolyte materials, the present challenges facing this technology (in the commercial aspect), and future aspects to develop fully functional KIBs. The potassium storage mechanisms, evolution of the KIBs, and the advantages and disadvantages of each category of materials are included. Additionally, various approaches to enhance the electrochemical performances of KIBs are also discussed. This review is not only an amalgamation of different viewpoints in literature, but also contains concise perspectives and strategies. Moreover, the potential emergence of a novel class of K-based dual ion batteries is also analyzed for the first time. © 2020 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim

As one of the main development directions in the information field, big data technology can be applied for data mining, data analysis and data sharing in the massive data, and it created huge economic benefits by using the potential value of data. Meanwhile, it can provide decision-making strategies for social and economic development. Big data service architecture is a new service economic model that takes data as a resource, and it loads and extracts the data collected from different data sources. This service architecture provides various customized data processing methods, data analysis and visualization services for service consumers. This paper first briefly introduces the general big data service architecture and the technical processing framework, which covered data collection and storage. Next, we discuss big data processing and analysis according to different service requirements, which can present valuable data for service consumers. Then, we introduce the detailed cloud computing service system based on big data, which provides high performance solutions for large-scale data storage, processing and analysis. Finally, we summarize some big data application scenarios over various fields.

In the article, we present several new bounds for the the complete elliptic integrals K (r) = | 0π /2(1−r2 sin2 θ )−1/2dθ and E (r) = | 0π /2 (1−r2 sin2 θ )1/2dθ , and find an asymptotic expansion for K (r) as r → 1, which are the refinements and improvements of the previously well-known results. © 2020 Element D.O.O.. 摘要:
This paper investigated the corrosion fatigue crack propagation mechanism of high-strength steel bar HRB400 in various corrosive environments. Fatigue crack growth (FCG) tests were conducted under different fatigue loading types, environments, and stress ratios. The fatigue loading type included the constant and stepwise decreasing load amplitude. The environments were air, distilled water, 3.5% NaCl solution, and an artificially accelerated corrosive environment. The stress ratio ranged from 0.1 to 0.7. The threshold stress-intensity factor range and FCG rate under various test conditions were obtained. The FCG path and fracture morphology were examined by optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy, respectively. The threshold stress-intensity factor ranges, FCG rates, FCG paths, and fracture features under different conditions were compared. The corrosion fatigue mechanism of the steel bar under the test environments were quantitatively analyzed. The results showed that hydrogen embrittlement played a predominant role in the corrosion fatigue process of the HRB400 steel bar. The contribution of anodic dissolution to the FCG rate increased as the aggressiveness level increased. The contribution of hydrogen embrittlement to the FCG rate increased with the increase of stress ratio and stress-intensity factor range. © 2020 American Society of Civil Engineers.

摘要:
Jensen integral inequality has got much importance regarding their applications in different fields of mathematics. In this paper, two converses of Jensen integral inequality for convex function are obtained. The results are applied to establish converses of Holder and Hermite-Hadamard inequalities as well. At the end, some useful applications in information theory of the obtained results are given. The idea used in this paper may inculcate further research.

摘要:
In the article, we describe the Grüss type inequality, provide some related inequalities by use of suitable fractional integral operators, address several variants by utilizing the generalized proportional Hadamard fractional (GPHF) integral operator. It is pointed out that our introduced new integral operators with nonlocal kernel have diversified applications. Our obtained results show the computed outcomes for an exceptional choice to the GPHF integral operator with parameter and the proportionality index. Additionally, we illustrate two examples that can numerically approximate these operators. © 2020, The Author(s).

Foundation pit excavation may disturb the initial stress field and induce the deformation of the surrounding rock mass. Due to the excavation, the originally compact rock mass and lining structure may become loose with adverse impacts on the normal operation of the existing tunnel. A new failure mechanism is constructed on the basis of the deformation characteristics of the rock mass around an existing tunnel induced by an adjacent excavation. Using this failure mechanism, the upper bound solution of the slip surface equation for the rock mass around an existing tunnel is derived in the framework of the upper bound theorem in conjunction with a variational approach. The shape and range of the slip surface are plotted for different parameters. A three-dimensional numerical model is constructed to simulate the deformation of the rock mass around the existing tunnel induced by adjacent excavation. By comparing the analytical results for the slip surface with the failure surface provided by numerical simulation, it is found that the differences between the analytical results and the numerical results are small. This comparison shows that the proposed method is valid for investigating the deformation of the rock mass around the existing tunnel induced by adjacent excavation. © 2019 Elsevier Ltd

摘要:
We consider a generalized Fisher-KPP equation with the growth function being time and space dependent in the form of "shifting with constant speed". The main concerns are extinction and persistence, as well as spatialtemporal dynamics. By employing a new method relating to semigroup and some subtle estimates, we not only extend the main results in Li et al. [SIAM J. Appl. Math. 74 (2014), pp. 1397-1417] to a scenario when the growth function may have no sign change, but also improve the main results there by dropping some restrictions on the initial functions. © 2019 American Mathematical Society.

The NOx degradation performance of nano-TiO2 as a coating material for the road environment was evaluated in this research. The nano-TiO2 coating materials for both road surface and roadside were prepared by using anatase nano-TiO2, activated carbon powder, silane coupling agent and deionized water. The impact of varying amounts of coating material and silane coupling agent were evaluated. The road environment of NOx degradation was simulated by the photocatalytic test system designed by the research team. For the road surface coating, the photocatalytic degradation experiments of NO under different radiation intensities were carried out. The results show that the material has good photocatalytic degradation performance, and the proper amount of silane coupling agent can enhance the bonding performance of the material and asphalt mixture. For the roadside coating, sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate was selected as the surfactant to carry out the photocatalytic degradation experiment of NO2 with different dosages of surfactant. The results showed that when the mass ratio of nano-TiO2 and surfactant was about 1:2, the catalytic degradation effect of the material was the best. © 2020 by the authors. 摘要:
In the article, we introduce the concept of the exponentially tgs-convex function and discover two new conformable fractional integral identities concerning the first-order differentiable convex mappings. By using these identities, we establish several new right-sided Hermite-Hadamard type inequalities for the exponentially tgs-convex functions via conformable fractional integrals. Our outcomes for conformable fractional integral operators are also applied to some special means. © 2020 the Author(s), licensee AIMS Press.

The role of integer and noninteger order partial differential equations (PDE) is essential in applied sciences and engineering. Exact solutions of these equations are sometimes difficult to find. Therefore, it takes time to develop some numerical techniques to find accurate numerical solutions of these types of differential equations. This work aims to present a novel approach termed as fractional iteration algorithm-I for finding the numerical solution of nonlinear noninteger order partial differential equations. The proposed approach is developed and tested on nonlinear fractional-order Fornberg-Whitham equation and employed without using any transformation, Adomian polynomials, small perturbation, discretization, or linearization. The fractional derivatives are taken in the Caputo sense. To assess the efficiency and precision of the suggested method, the tabulated numerical results are compared with the standard variational iteration method and the exact solution as well. In addition, numerical results for different cases of the fractional-order α are presented graphically, which show the effectiveness of the proposed procedure and revealed that the proposed scheme is very effective, suitable for fractional PDEs, and may be viewed as a generalization of the existing methods for solving integer and noninteger order differential equations. © 2020 Hijaz Ahmad et al.

In this paper, a linguistic steganalysis method based on two-level cascaded convolutional neural networks (CNNs) is proposed to improve the system's ability to detect stego texts, which are generated via synonym substitutions. The first-level network, sentence-level CNN, consists of one convolutional layer with multiple convolutional kernels in different window sizes, one pooling layer to deal with variable sentence lengths, and one fully connected layer with dropout as well as a softmax output, such that two final steganographic features are obtained for each sentence. The unmodified and modified sentences, along with their words, are represented in the form of pre-trained dense word embeddings, which serve as the input of the network. Sentence-level CNN provides the representation of a sentence, and can thus be utilized to predict whether a sentence is unmodified or has been modified by synonym substitutions. In the second level, a text-level CNN exploits the predicted representations of sentences obtained from the sentence-level CNN to determine whether the detected text is a stego text or cover text. Experimental results indicate that the proposed sentence-level CNN can effectively extract sentence features for sentence-level steganalysis tasks and reaches an average accuracy of 82.245%. Moreover, the proposed steganalysis method achieves greatly improved detection performance when distinguishing stego texts from cover texts.

Deeper neural networks have achieved great results in the field of computer vision and have been successfully applied to tasks such as traffic sign recognition. However, as traffic sign recognition systems are often deployed in resource-constrained environments, it is critical for the network design to be slim and accurate in these instances. Accordingly, in this paper, we propose two novel lightweight networks that can obtain higher recognition precision while preserving less trainable parameters in the models. Knowledge distillation transfers the knowledge in a trained model, called the teacher network, to a smaller model, called the student network. Moreover, to improve the accuracy of traffic sign recognition, we also implement a new module in our teacher network that combines two streams of feature channels with dense connectivity. To enable easy deployment on mobile devices, our student network is a simple end-to-end architecture containing five convolutional layers and a fully connected layer. Furthermore, by referring to the values of batch normalization (BN) scaling factors towards zero to identify insignificant channels, we prune redundant channels from the student network, yielding a compact model with accuracy comparable to that of more complex models. Our teacher network exhibited an accuracy rate of 93.16% when trained and tested on the CIFAR-10 general dataset. Using the knowledge of our teacher network, we train the student network on the GTSRB and BTSC traffic sign datasets. Thus, our student model uses only 0.8 million parameters while still achieving accuracy of 99.61% and 99.13% respectively on both datasets. All experimental results show that our lightweight networks can be useful when deploying deep convolutional neural networks (CNNs) on mobile embedded devices. © 2019, Institut Mines-Télécom and Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Energy management is an enabling technology for increasing the economy of fuel cell/battery hybrid electric vehicles. Existing efforts mostly focus on optimization of a certain control objective (e.g., hydrogen consumption), without sufficiently considering the implications for on-board power sources degradation. To address this deficiency, this article proposes a cost-optimal, predictive energy management strategy, with an explicit consciousness of degradation of both fuel cell and battery systems. Specifically, we contribute two main points to the relevant literature, with the purpose of distinguishing our study from existing ones. First, a model predictive control framework, for the first time, is established to minimize the total running cost of a fuel cell/battery hybrid electric bus, inclusive of hydrogen cost and costs caused by fuel cell and battery degradation. The efficacy of this framework is evaluated, accounting for various sizes of prediction horizon and prediction uncertainties. Second, the effects of driving and pricing scenarios on the optimized vehicular economy are explored.

Sodium sulfate decahydrate (SSD, Na2SO4·10H2O) is a suitable candidate for thermal storage applications as its high thermal latent heat and desirable phase change temperature, but it suffers from the supercooling, phase separation, and recalescence. In this paper, the SSD-CBO synthesized by SSD, carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), borax decahydrate, and OP-10 successfully suppressed supercooling, and phase separation. Expanded graphite (EG) was used to stabilize and prevent the recalescence of SSD-CBO as well as enhance the thermal conductivity of pure SSD. The microstructure and chemical structure of composites were further explored, indicating the obtained composites possess uniform distribution and good chemical compatibility. The DSC analysis shows that the composite with 7 wt% EG has latent heat value of 114.0 J g−1 for melting and 105.5 J g−1 for freezing, respectively. The supercooling was reduced by more than 19 °C. The thermal conductivity of SSD-CBO/EG7 was as high as 3.6 times that of SSD-CBO and reached to 1.96 W m−1 K−1. The heating and cooling curves confirmed that the heating and cooling times of SSD-CBO/EG7 were reduced by 36.2% and 44.5% compared to those of the pure SSD, further investigating the effect on heat transfer rate by adding EG into SSD-CBO. The excellent transient temperature response of SSD-CBO/EG7 was recorded by thermal infrared images. The thermal storage and release performance evaluation suggested the SSD-CBO/EG composites especially the SSD-CBO/EG7 processes the good potential for thermal energy storage in the floor heating application. Furthermore, the mechanism of the tailored phase change behavior of SSD-CBO/EG composites was investigated. © 2020 Elsevier Ltd

The present article deals with the new estimates in q-calculus and fractional q-calculus on a time scale T-t0 = {0} boolean OR {t : t = t(0)q(n), n is a nonnegative integerg, where t(0) is an element of R and 0 < q < 1: The role of fractional time scale q-calculus can be found as one of the prominent techniques to generate some variants for a class of positive functions n(n is an element of N). Finally, our work will provide foundation and motivation for further investigation on time-fractional q-calculus systems that have an intriguing application in quantum theory and special relativity theory.
