研究了存在Kerr介质时依赖强度耦合单模压缩真空场与耦合双原子非共振相互作用系统中原子的偶极压缩,运用数值方法讨论了系统参数对原子偶极压缩的影响.结果表明:Kerr介质、失谐量、原子间相互作用、光场初始压缩因子和原子的初始状态对原子偶极压缩有较大的影响.

摘要:
A ray-tracing method is developed to evaluate the wave growth/damping and specifically propagation trajectories of the magnetospherically reflected Whistler-mode waves. The methodology is valid for weak wave growth/damping when plasma is comprised of a cold electron population and a hot electron population, together with background neutralizing ions, e.g. protons. The effect of anisotropic thermal electrons on the propagation of Whistler-mode waves is studied in detail. Numerical results are obtained for a realistic spatial variation model of plasma population, including the cold electron density distribution, and the thermal electron density and temperature distribution. It is found that, analogous to the case of the typical cold plasma approximation, the overall ray path of Whistler-mode waves is insensitive to the thermal electron density and temperature anisotropy, and the ray path reflects where wave frequency is below or comparable to the local lower hybrid resonance frequency flhr. However, the wave growth is expected to be influenced by the thermal electron population. The results present a first detailed verification for the validity of the typical cold plasma approximation for the propagation of Whistler-mode waves and may account for the observation that the Whistler-mode waves tend to propagate on a particular magnetic shell L where the wave frequency is comparable to flhr. © 2006 Chinese Physical Society and IOP Publishing Ltd.

研究了由单模压缩相干态光场与Ξ型三能级原子玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚体(BEC)相互作用系统中耦合输出的双模原子激光的压缩特性,重点讨论了玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚体原子间相互作用对原子激光压缩性质的影响,并讨论了原子激光压缩对光场初始压缩因子的依赖关系。结果表明:由光场诱导的双模原子激光呈现周期性的压缩,原子间的相互作用和光场初始压缩因子对原子的压缩性质具有重要影响。原子间的相互作用影响原子激光压缩的振荡频率而不会影响其压缩深度,而初始光场的压缩因子则对原子激光压缩深度产生调制作用,且初始光场的压缩因子越大,则原子激光压缩的时间越短。

摘要:
基于局域密度泛函理论,采用第一原理方法,建立了(5,5)型和(8,0)型有限长碳纳米管的原子模型,并在两个端口接枝1-8个羟基官能团,先用DMol^3中BLYP方法对其结构进行优化,再利用CASTEP软件计算其电子分布和态密度的变化,从而讨论羟基官能团对碳纳米管电子结构和电子输运特性的影响.计算表明,接枝羟基的碳纳米管的电子结构明显改变,费米能级上的电子态密度下降,最高占据轨道上电子的非定域程度减弱,致使电子输运性能呈下降趋势.

摘要:
[1] We have constructed expressions of the relativistic diffusion coefficients in both pitch angle and momentum resulting from gyroresonant interactions between electrons and superluminous (R–X, L–O, L–X) wave modes that are generated as auroral kilometric radiation (AKR) in the Earth's magnetosphere. Detailed analysis is made of wave resonant frequencies for each given harmonic n, electron energy, wave normal angles for two typical regions of the magnetosphere: the higher‐density region η = ∣Ωe∣2/ω2pe < 1 (e.g., near the geostationary orbit) and the lower‐density region η > 1 (e.g., at the high latitude of the radiation belts), where ∣Ωe∣ and ωpe are the electron gyrofrequency and the plasma frequency. The resonant frequency range in the higher‐density region is found to be generally smaller than that in the lower‐density region, and the efficient electron gyroresonance with the superluminous wave modes occurs mainly at the higher harmonics, e.g., ∣n∣ ≥ 3. In contrast to the subluminous waves, e.g., chorus which has easily up to three resonant frequencies, only one or two resonant frequencies were found for superluminous waves at each combination of wave and particle parameters of interest. Numerical calculations for diffusion coefficients of the momentum Dpp, the pitch angle Dαα, and the mixed Dpα are performed specifically for the two typical regions above. It is found that the momentum diffusion generally dominates over the pitch angle diffusion, namely, Dpp > ∣Dpα∣ > Dαα for the pitch angle α above a critical angle αc, whereas Dαα generally dominates below the critical angle αc. Specifically, Dpp/Dαα can exceed 10 for α > αc ≈ 7.5° and η = 0.2, while for α > αc ≈ 30° and η = 20. This is a new result in contrast to the case of subluminous waves (e.g., whistler mode waves) in which basically Dαα > ∣Dpα∣> Dpp. We have also presented some estimates regarding what wave amplitudes are required to produce particular acceleration timescales and found that the required wave amplitudes in the lower‐density region are much lower than those in the higher‐density region. The results suggest that superluminous wave modes may contribute significantly to both the stochastic acceleration of trapped electrons (with larger pitch angle) and the loss process of untrapped electrons (with smaller pitch angles) during magnetic storms if those waves are found to be present in the radiation belts of the Earth, but this needs to be further investigated.

摘要:
We study the two-body entanglement and mixture in a three-qubit XXZ spin chain in thermal equilibrium state at temperature T with an external magnetic field B. The effects of the magnetic field, the anisotropy and the temperature on the entanglement and mixture are considered. We show that the ground states in this system are fully characterized and distinguished by both entanglement and mixture. Thermal entanglement versus the mixture of all two-spin states is investigated. All pairwise states provide an upper bound on the entanglement for a fixed mixture, and some part of the boundary reaches the boundary allowed by physics. As a result, maximally entangled mixed states can be generated by controlling magnetic field and temperature. Especially, in the ground state of the whole system, the explicit forms of maximally entangled mixed states are given. The results provide a new way to generate maximally entangled mixed states and control entanglement. ©2006 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

摘要:
The electromagnetic wave growth or damping depends basically on the number density and anisotropy of energetic particles as the resonant interaction takes place between the particles and waves in the magnetosphere. The variance of both the number density and anisotropy along the magnetic field line is evaluated systematically by modeling four typically prescribed distribution functions. It is shown that in the case of "the positive anisotropy" (namely, the perpendicular temperature T⊥ exceeds the parallel temperature T||), the number density of energetic electrons always decreases with the magnetic latitude for a regular increasing magnetic field and the maximum wave growth is therefore generally confined to the equator where the resonant energy is minimum, and the number density is the largest. However, the "loss-cone" anisotropy of the electrons with a "pancake" distribution or kappa distribution keeps invariant or nearly invariant, whereas the "temperature" anisotropy with a pure bi-Maxwellian distribution or Ashour-Abdalla and Kennel's distributions decreases with the magnetic latitude. The results may provide a useful approach to evaluating the number density and anisotropy of the energetic electrons at latitudes where the observation information is not available.

为了进一步探索铝酸盐系列长余辉材料的显色范围,改善其粉体特性,采用铝酸盐阳离子草酸盐共沉淀及湿法混合原材料方法,在传统绿色长余辉荧光粉SrAl2O4:Eu^2+,Dy^3+合成的基础上,增加基质Al的比例,并由通常α—Al2O3改成AlCl3·6H2O,选用硼酸氨与氟化铝为助溶剂,成功合成了高效、低硬度和细粒径良好粉体特性的浅蓝色长余辉发光材料SrAl4O7:Eu^2+,Dy^3+。测量了样品的X射线衍射(XRD)图谱、激发与发射光谱、余辉衰减曲线及热释光谱图等,并对其进行了分析。结果表明,Eu^2+在这两种基质中均存在2个发光中心,其衰减速度不一样,蓝发光中心寿命要远大于绿发光中心寿命。相对SrAl2O4:Eu^2+,Dy^3+而言,SrAl4O7:Eu^2+,Dy^3+发射光谱峰值从520nm蓝移至480nm,衰减到可辨认发光强度0.32mcd/m^2的余辉时间从30h延长到60h以上,且合成样品表现出更好的结晶状态、分散性及较小的中心粒径。

Modelling energetic particles by a relativistic kappa-loss-cone distribution function in plasmas

Energetic particles found in planetary magnetospheres and other plasmas, where mirror geometries occur, often exhibit two typical characteristics: a pronounced high energy tail and an anisotropy. A relativistic kappa-loss-cone (KLC) distribution function f<sup>κL</sup> is initially developed which incorporates features of the well-known kappa type and loss-cone type, i.e. the anisotropy behaves as a loss-cone distribution;the energy satisfies ∝[1/v<sup>2</sup>]<sup>(κ+1)</sup> for a relatively large velocity v as a kappa distribution f<sup>κ</sup> does and spreads ∝[1/p] <sup>κ+1</sup> at the relativistic energies (where κand p are the energy spectral index and the particle momentum, respectively). This indicates that the new distribution f<sup>κL</sup> obeys the power-law not only at the lower energies but also at the relativistic energies since the relativistic energy ∝p. Numerical calculations are performed for a direct comparison between the new KLC distribution and the current kappa distribution, respectively. It is found that the regular kappa distribution generally decreases faster than the KLC distribution with the kinetic energy E <inf>k</inf> especially when θ<sup>2</sup> increases (where θ<sup>2</sup> is the energy weight parameter), e.g. f<sup>κ</sup>/f <sup>κL</sup> ≲10<sup>-2</sup> for E<inf>k</inf> ≳2.0 MeV and θ<sup>2</sup> ≳0.25. However, no big difference occurs between both distributions through energies up to ∼500 keV for θ<sup>2</sup> ≲0.025. Furthermore, the regular kappa distribution containing either the temperature anisotropy or both the loss cone and temperature anisotropy is quite different from the KLC distribution. The new KLC distribution may be applicable to the outer radiation belts of the Earth, the inner Jovian magnetosphere and other plasmas (including the laboratory machine) where relativistic particles are present. ©2006 IOP Publishing Ltd.

摘要:
An explicit formula is developed to explore the mechanism of the synchrotron radiation by using a bi-modal loss-cone distribution function. The variation of the distribution function along the field line is modeled in detail and the evaluation of the total power in the synchrotron radiation is presented. The variance of synchrotron radiation with latitude depends on the electron anisotropy; for low anisotropy, synchrotron radiation increases with latitude and reaches a maximum at the particle mirror points; for high anisotropy, it decreases with latitude and maximizes at the equator. A bi-modal population is therefore suggested to explain the radiation intensity which peaks both at the equator and at high latitude. (c) 2006 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

摘要:
The persistent currents as a function of the dimension, chirality, and deformation for various chiral carbon nanotori are investigated theoretically. It has been found that, for the undeformed torus, its persistent current is inversely proportional to the torus radius R, but independent of the torus width r, and becomes very strong as its chiral angle θapproaches ±15°;whereas for the deformed torus, its energy gap Eg and persistent current are very sensitive to the deformation and chirality. In general, the persistent current can be fitted to the form I=±A sin (2πΦΦ0) as long as the deformation occurs except in the case of tan α=0 and ΕL = ΕJ, where Φis the magnetic flux enclosed in the torus, Φ0 (=he) is the flux quantum, αrepresents the shear strain, and ΕL and ΕJ denote the strains due to tension or compression along the directions of tube and torus circumferences, respectively. When the strain reaches 1%, the persistent current declines by four orders of magnitude. ©2006 American Institute of Physics.

Instability of whistler-mode waves by a relativistic kappa-loss-cone distribution in space plasmas

We investigate the growth rate of field-aligned whistler-mode waves in space plasmas by using a fully relativistic treatment, including a recently developed relativistic kappa-loss-cone (KLC) distribution and a fully relativistic growth rate formula. Numerical calculations are carried out for a direct comparison between the new KLC distribution and the current kappa distribution, respectively. It is found that, in the lower wave frequency (e.g. ω≲0.1Ω<inf>e</inf>), the wave growth by the KLC distribution is generally higher than that by the kappa distribution, due to a larger fractional number of the resonant electrons η<inf>rel</inf> (which controls the wave growth) for the KLC distribution;but is lower in the higher wave frequency. The growth rates, as expected, tend to increase with the thermal anisotropy A, and the peak wave growth increases more rapidly for the kappa distribution. The relativistic anisotropy A<inf>rel</inf> basically decreases as the thermal parameter <sup>2</sup> increases;whereas the fractional number of the resonant electrons η<inf>rel</inf> is found to be large in the case of <sup>2</sup> ∼150 keV, and results in a large wave growth. This indicates that hot electrons with typical energies of hundreds of keV may play a dominant role on the instability of whistler-mode waves. The results above have applications to plasma wave instability in the outer radiation belts of the Earth, the Jovian inner magnetosphere and other astrophysical plasmas where relativistic electrons are present. ©2006 IOP Publishing Ltd.

摘要:
在主动-被动分解同步的基础上,提出了一种利用不同超混沌系统的驱动函数切换调制实现数字保密通信的方案.根据二进制信号“0”和“1”的传输情况交替发射两个不同的驱动函数,这就增加了发射信号的复杂度,减少了信号的相关性.且通过进行多次非线性变换加密,进一步设置了新的密钥,使得基于预测法的攻击完全失效.理论分析和模拟结果均表明本方案在实现超混沌数字保密通信时的有效性.

A concise and elegant expression of cyclotron harmonic resonant quasi-pure pitch-angle diffusion is constructed for the parallel whistler mode waves, and the quasi-linear diffusion coefficient is prescribed in terms of the whistler mode wave spectral intensity. Numerical computations are performed for the specific case of energetic electrons interacting with a band of frequency of whistler mode turbulence at L≈3. It is found that the quasi-pure pitch-angle diffusion driven by the whistler mode scatters energetic electrons from the larger pitch-angles into the loss cone, and causes pitch-angle distribution to evolve from the pancake-shaped before the terrestrial storms to the flat-top during the main phase. This probably accounts for the quasi-isotropic pitch-angle distribution observed by the combined release and radiation effects satellite spacecraft at L≈3. © 2005 Chinese Physical Society and IOP Publishing Ltd.

摘要:
An extended relativistic model is developed to evaluate the superluminous R-X-mode resonance especially the second-order and third-order resonances with electrons in the Earth's magnetosphere. The potential for stochastic electron acceleration driven by the R-X mode is determined by the dispersive properties of the R-X mode and specifically the resonant harmonic N. In contrast to the limited acceleration at the first harmonic (N = 1) resonance, for the higher harmonic (N > 1) resonances, the R-X mode is capable of accelerating electrons from ∼10 kV to ∼ MeV energies, over a wide range of wave normal angles, in spatial regions extending from the auroral cavity to the latitude (> 30°) outer radiation belt. This indicates that higher-order resonance is essentially important for the electron acceleration for the oblique wave propagation. © 2005 Chinese Physical Society and IOP Publishing Ltd.
