The magnetohydrodynamic nanofluid flow comprised of dust particles is carried out in the current investigation. The role of dust nanoparticles on the flow characteristics is vital. The radiative heat phenomena for the interaction of Cu nanoparticle are deliberated in this discussion. However, both water and oil (kerosene) are treated as conventional fluids. Regarding the current applications on nanofluid in industries for the production of several materials, it is important to use the nanoparticles as a coolant. In recent applications, for the CPU cooler Cu-nanoparticle is used because of its high thermal conductivity and as a good conductor of heat. The governing flow characteristics involved with nonlinear properties of partial differential equations are transformed into ordinary differential equations using suitable similarity variables. Further, numerical treatment is imposed using the in-build Matlab code bvp5c. The imitation is carried out for the various profiles using physical parameters and presented graphically. The numerical values for the rate coefficients are presented via tables and deliberated briefly.

In order to further understand the characteristics of longitudinal grouting compactness, this paper develops a stress wave based active sensing approach using piezoceramic transducers for monitoring the longitudinal grouting compactness of the curve tendon ducts. Experimental results show that in the no grouting, 50% grouting, 75% grouting, and 90% grouting conditions, the sensors cannot receive any stress wave. Only when the actuator and the transducers are grouted fully, the transducers can receive the stress wave propagated by the actuator. The wavelet packet-based energy analysis was adopted to compute the total signal energy received by PZT sensors in this research. With the change of the grouting compactness in the posttensioned tendon curve duct, the energy received by the sensor closer to the actuator changes more rapidly than that received by the sensor farther from the actuator. This is mainly due to the fact that these sensors are located in different longitudinal positions, which leads to their different degree of grouting compactness in the same time period. This paper shows that the grouting quality can be effectively evaluated by analyzing the difference between the signals received by the transducers in the curve tendon duct. So, the proposed method has potentials to be utilized to monitor the grouting quality of the curve tendon ducts.

To investigate the influence of temperature on the longitudinal displacement of an asymmetric cable-stayed bridge with a hybrid girder, a finite-element system (FES) of the bridge and a simplified system of the girder and bearings in the pylon area were established. The systems were based on a cable-stayed bridge with a hybrid girder during the period after the closure of the midspan and before opening to traffic. The bearing reaction of the piers and the unbalanced force in the horizontal direction in the pylon area were calculated according to the displacement bearing data collected in the case of drastic temperature changes for 24 h. The results of the entire bridge system were substituted into the simplified system for calculation. The displacement bearing data were collected and compared with 24 h onsite results. The results indicate a linear relationship between the longitudinal displacement of the girder to the side span and the temperature of the girder. A hysteresis effect of longitudinal displacement of the concrete girder to the side span with a change in the temperature, which satisfies a bilinear model, was observed. A residual longitudinal displacement of the concrete girder displacement to the side span was observed when the temperature returned to the initial value after 24 h of continuous observation and could not be eliminated within the 24 h observation period. These results provide a sound research basis for the study of displacement bearing regularity under vehicle action; the "rump-up" of concrete side spans in which the residual value of bearing displacement accumulates for a long period within each temperature change period; and similar engineering problems of a cable-stayed bridge with a hybrid girder.

With the large-scale development of electric vehicle industry and the increasing demand for charging, the development of residential charging service is of great importance. By reasonably setting the charging and parking prices of electric vehicles in residential communities, the communities can provide convenient services for users while taking into account the interests of relevant operators. This paper mainly uses the method of multi-objective optimization to establish the revenue function of the relevant operators and the cost function of the charging time of the users, and then develops the multi-objective function model to balance the interests of all parties, and finally verifies the effectiveness of the model through an example. The research results provide a certain reference for the decision-making of EV charging pricing in residential areas and promote the industrial development of urban EV.

Stiffness degradation of high-performance steel (HPS) beams with local shear-span corrosion is studied by experimental investigation and numerical analysis. Six beams subjected to various level of local corrosion damage are designed. 3D scanning technology is employed to analyze the geometric features affected by the corrosion damage. Flexural tests are carried out, and the effect of the local corrosion on the stiffness degradation is analyzed. Numerical models considering corrosion characteristics are established. By using the FEA models, parametric analysis is carried out to investigate the impact of different damaged positions and thicknesses on the stiffness degradation. Results show that the local corrosion within the shear span has an obvious adverse effect on the stiffness of the beam, especially for the open-hole steel beam caused by heavy corrosion. The degradation caused by corrosion near the support is greater than that near the loading point. When the thickness decreases by 30%, the stiffness has an obvious degradation.

The methods of cable hoisting or revolving construction are usually used during the construction of long span arch bridge.The dynamic stability of the formed combined structure of supporting cable and arch under complex environment in construction stage is remarkable.Based on the practical construction of a long-span arch bridge as background,the structural modes and corresponding frequency distribution characteristics are investigated with the finite element method by truncating the typical single cable-arch and double arch-arch models in the construction phase.Meanwhile,the analytical mechanical model of the single cable-arch model is established and the dynamic response in case of resonance under periodic excitation is analyzed,then the parametrical distribution intervals of dynamic instability are determined.The results show that the local modes and the global modes of the cable in the combined structure exist simultaneously,and there are possible internal resonances between different modes.
