摘要:
The presence of antibiotics in different water sources is a ubiquitous, global concern. The persistence of trace amounts of antibiotics can lead to antibiotic resistance of microbial pathogens and jeopardize the health of ecosystems. One possible solution is the photocatalytic degradation of antibiotics from water systems by titanium dioxide (TiO2) photocatalysis. In recent years, heterogeneous TiO2 has been examined for the photocatalytic degradation of ciprofloxacin (CIP) under UV/visible light irradiation. This review offers an overview of the recent advances in visible light-activated TiO2 for the photocatalytic degradation of CIP and the factors impacting the photocatalytic behavior. In particular, we focused on the structural elucidation of reaction intermediates, and we aimed to determine research gaps in the utilization of visible light-activated TiO2 for water treatment. Future research directions, including the ecotoxicological effect of the photocatalytic degradation intermediates, the thermodynamical and kinetic mechanisms of the photocatalytic degradation process, and future applications of heterogeneous TiO2 photocatalysts, are also proposed. © 2019 Elsevier B.V.

In this work, a novel 6D four-wing hyperchaotic system with a line equilibrium based on a flux-controlled memristor model is proposed. The novel system is inspired from an existing 5D four-wing hyperchaotic system introduced by Zarei (2015). Fundamental properties of the novel system are discussed, and its complex behaviors are characterized using phase portraits, Lyapunov exponential spectrum, bifurcation diagram, and spectral entropy. When a suitable set of parameters are chosen, the system exhibits a rich repertoire of dynamic behaviors including double-period bifurcation of the quasiperiod, a single two-wing, and four-wing chaotic attractors. Further analysis of the novel system shows that the multiple coexisting attractors can be observed with different system parameter values and initial values. Moreover, the feasibility of the proposed mathematical model is also presented by using Multisim simulations based on an electronic analog of the model. Finally, the active control method is used to design the appropriate controller to realize the synchronization between the proposed 6D memristive hyperchaotic system and the 6D hyperchaotic Yang system with different structures. The Routh-Hurwitz criterion is used to prove the rationality of the controller, and the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed synchronization method are proved by numerical simulations. © 2020 Fei Yu et al.

摘要:
The goal of our paper is to improve the accuracy of stock return forecasts by combining new technical indicators and a new two-step economic constraint forecasting model. Empirical results indicate the stock return forecasts generated by new technical indicators and new economic constraint forecasting model is statistically and economically significant both in-sample and out-of-sample prediction performance. In addition, the prediction performance of new technical indicators and new economic constraint forecasting model is robust for some extension and robustness analysis.

As we all know, environmental protection and sustainable energy utilization are significant challenges for us. Due to their many excellent characteristics, carbon materials have been playing a very important role in energy and environmental applications. Biomass is the only renewable carbon source and crucial precursor of carbonaceous materials and has the advantages of a unique structure, a wide range of sources, biodegradability, and low cost. Developing high-performance carbonaceous materials from biomass is a significant research subject. Biomass-derived porous graphitic carbon materials (BPGCs) have received extensive attention as novel high-performance sustainable carbon materials owing to its well-developed porous structure, good graphitic structure, and heteroatom doping. Here, this review firstly focuses on the principal synthesis methodologies of BPGCs. Next, three electrochemical energy storage and conversion systems that utilize BPGCs are intensively investigated, including supercapacitors (SCs), lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) and fuel cells (FCs). Then, BPGCs are further reviewed in terms of their application in the field of environmental protection, which is also the first systematic summary of BPGCs in environmental applications. Finally, this review points out the direction that is worthy of further research in the future and the essential issues that have not yet been resolved. Introduction: We used road crashes between vehicles and two-wheelers from Yinzhou District Ningbo in 2011-2015 from the China In-depth Accident Study (CIDAS) as sample cases. The risk factors of different injury severity grades were analyzed. Method: The classification tree model was used to screen the possible interaction items, and the corresponding regression model was constructed according to the results of the tree model to explore the influencing factors of cyclist injury. Results: The road types, weather types, gender, age of the riders, and vehicle speed were significantly correlated with the dependent variables. The interaction effect of gender*road type, weather*age, weather*speed and speed*age were obtained through a tree model. Conclusions: The risk of male casualties at the crossroads was 3.31 times higher than that of female casualties at the straight roads. On sunny days, the risk of crash casualties in Ningbo was low, and the fatality risk when the speed reached 38 km/h was 10%. Under the interaction effect of weather and age, the fatality risk in cloudy/-foggy and rainy days was almost coincident, and the serious risk in cloudy/foggy conditions was the highest. Practical applications: Through factor analysis, it is confirmed that there is interaction effect among the factors, and it can provide reference for relevant departments to formulate more targeted and effective governance strategies. A mild and eco-friendly visible-light-induced decarboxylative acylation of quinoxalin-2(1H)-ones and α-oxo carboxylic acids with ambient air as the sole oxidant at room temperature was established. The reaction proceeded efficiently without any metal catalysts, strong oxidants or external-photosensitizers, ultimately reducing the generation of waste. This study reveals new fractional behavior of Minkowski inequality and several other related generalizations in the frame of the newly proposed fractional operators. For this, an efficient technique called generalized proportional fractional integral operator with respect to another function Φ is introduced. This strategy usually arises as a description of the exponential functions in their kernels in terms of another function Φ. The prime purpose of this study is to provide a new fractional technique, which need not use small parameters for finding the approximate solution of fractional coupled systems and eliminate linearization and unrealistic factors. Numerical results represent that the proposed technique is efficient, reliable, and easy to use for a large variety of physical systems. This study shows that a more general proportional fractional operator is very accurate and effective for analysis of the nonlinear behavior of boundary value problems. This study also states that our findings are more convenient and efficient than other available results. © 2020 Saima Rashid et al.

摘要:
To improve the analysis accuracy of dynamic reliability of a nonlinear system, an equivalent nonlinear system method is presented. In this method, general nonlinear systems are converted to equivalent Duffing nonlinear systems according to the minimum mean square error criterion, whose exact analytical solution of the random steady-state responses can be determined by a FokkerPlanckKolmogorov equation. Then the exact results of stochastic responses are used to analyze structural dynamic reliability. To use the equivalent nonlinear system method to analyze structural dynamic reliability is not only convenient for calculation but highly accurate. In addition, the presented equivalent nonlinear system has a parameter ε, which controls the degree of nonlinearity. Thus, it is easy to obtain the corresponding analysis results from converting the original system to equivalent nonlinear systems with different degrees of nonlinearity by changing the value of ε. Especially, when ε is zero, the equivalent nonlinear system will degenerate to the linear system, and leading to the analysis results of the equivalent linearization method. An example shows that the analysis results of the proposed equivalent nonlinear system method are reliable, and the calculation appears to be more accurate than that of the equivalent linearization method. © 2020 Elsevier Inc.

Aiming at the problems of intensive background noise, low accuracy, and high computational complexity of the current significant object detection methods, the visual saliency detection algorithm based on Hierarchical Principal Component Analysis (HPCA) has been proposed in the paper. Firstly, the original RGB image has been converted to a grayscale image, and the original grayscale image has been divided into eight layers by the bit surface stratification technique. Each image layer contains significant object information matching the layer image features. Secondly, taking the color structure of the original image as the reference image, the grayscale image is reassigned by the grayscale color conversion method, so that the layered image not only reflects the original structural features but also effectively preserves the color feature of the original image. Thirdly, the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) has been performed on the layered image to obtain the structural difference characteristics and color difference characteristics of each layer of the image in the principal component direction. Fourthly, two features are integrated to get the saliency map with high robustness and to further refine our results; the known priors have been incorporated on image organization, which can place the subject of the photograph near the center of the image. Finally, the entropy calculation has been used to determine the optimal image from the layered saliency map; the optimal map has the least background information and most prominently saliency objects than others. The object detection results of the proposed model are closer to the ground truth and take advantages of performance parameters including precision rate (PRE), recall rate (REC), and F-measure (FME). The HPCA model's conclusion can obviously reduce the interference of redundant information and effectively separate the saliency object from the background. The application of reinforced concrete (RC) beam with near-surface mounted (NSM) pre-stressed carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) plates has been increasingly widespread in civil engineering. However, debonding failure occurs easily in the early loading stage because of the prestress change at the end of CFRP plate. Therefore, it is important to find reliable, convenient and economical technical means to closely monitor the secure bonding between CFRP and concrete. In this paper, an active sensing approach for generating and sensing stress wave by embedded smart aggregates (SAs) is proposed, which provides a guarantee for the secure connection between CFRP and concrete. Two specimens with different non-pre-stressed bond lengths were fabricated in the laboratory. Six SAs were installed at different positions of the structure to monitor the degree of debonding damage during the loading process. The experiments showed that the optimal length of non-pre-stressed CFRP bond section (300 mm) can significantly improve the load characteristics and enhance the service performance of the structure. The theoretical analysis of wavelet packet shows that increasing the length of non-pre-stressed CFRP bond section can slow down the occurrence and propagation of debonding cracks. The debonding crack in the tension end region is earlier than that in the bond end region. The research results reflect that the developed approach can monitor the damage process caused by debonding cracks and provide early warning for the initial damage and the debonding failure. © 2019 by the authors.

摘要:
Electrocardiogram (ECG) can reflect the state of human heart and is widely used in clinical cardiac examination. However, the electrocardiogram signal is very weak, the anti-interference ability is poor, easy to be affected by the noise. Doctors face difficulties in diagnosing arrhythmias. Therefore, automatic recognition and classification of ECG signals is an important and indispensable task. Since the beginning of the 21 st century, deep learning has developed rapidly and has shown the most advanced performance in various fields. This paper presents a method of combining (Convolutional neural network) CNN and ELM (extreme learning machine). The accuracy rate is 97.50%. Compared with the state-of-the-art methods, this method improves the accuracy of ECG automatic classification and has good generalization ability. (C) 2019 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

摘要:
A mild and facile visible-light-mediated strategy has been proposed for the synthesis of 3-acyl quinoxalin-2(1H)-ones through acridine red catalyzed aerobic oxidative decarboxylative acylation of α-oxo-carboxylic acids with quinoxalin-2(1H)-ones at room temperature in air. Various 3-acyl quinoxalin-2(1H)-ones could be efficiently obtained in good yields with excellent functional group compatibility.

摘要:
Fractional order quaternion-valued neural networks are a type of fractional order neural networks for which neuron state, synaptic connection strengths, and neuron activation functions are quaternion. This paper is dealing with the Mittag-Leffler stability and adaptive impulsive synchronization of fractional order neural networks in quaternion field. The fractional order quaternion-valued neural networks are separated into four real-valued systems forming an equivalent four real-valued fractional order neural networks, which decreases the computational complexity by avoiding the noncommutativity of quaternion multiplication. Via some fractional inequality techniques and suitable Lyapunov functional, a brand new criterion is proposed first to ensure the Mittag-Leffler stability for the addressed neural networks. Besides, the combination of quaternion-valued adaptive and impulsive control is intended to realize the asymptotically synchronization between two fractional order quaternion-valued neural networks. Ultimately, two numerical simulations are provided to check the accuracy and validity of our obtained theoretical results.

In the article, we prove that the function x -> (1-x)K-P(root x) is logarithmically concave on (0, 1) if and only if p >= 7/32, the function x -> K(root x)/ log(1 + 4/root 1 - x) is convex on (0, 1) and the function x -> d(2)/dx(2) [K(root x) - log (1+ 4/root 1 - x)] is absolutely monotonic on (0,1), where K(x) = integral(pi/2)(0) (1 - x(2) sin(2) t)(-1/2) dt ( 0 < x < 1) is the complete elliptic integral of the first kind.

摘要:
Currently, many efforts have been done towards secure data privacy protection and reliable information trace, however the conventional solutions are still vulnerable to information loss, privacy leakage and other attacks till the blockchain technology emerged. Blockchain can record historical data by establishing a collectively maintained and tamper-resistant public ledger to ensure the security and reliability of the data stored in a distributed network. It realizes a decentralized network architecture, which can bring new solutions to many fields such as information tracing and privacy protection. In recent years, blockchain technology has gradually attracted the close attention of all industries, and this paper summarizes the existing blockchain-based systems and applications. We mainly review the applications of blockchain traceability technology in various fields, the blockchain decentralized applications, and other blockchain applications in data security protection, respectively. This work may bring new opportunities and challenges for the development of various industries in the future.

The commercialization of fuel cells, such as proton exchange membrane fuel cells and direct methanol/formic acid fuel cells, is hampered by their poor stability, high cost, fuel crossover, and the sluggish kinetics of platinum (Pt) and Pt-based electrocatalysts for both the cathodic oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) and the anodic hydrogen oxidation reaction (HOR) or small molecule oxidation reaction (SMOR). Thus far, the exploitation of active and stable electrocatalysts has been the most promising strategy to improve the performance of fuel cells. Accordingly, increasing attention is being devoted to modulating the surface/interface electronic structure of electrocatalysts and optimizing the adsorption energy of intermediate species by defect engineering to enhance their catalytic performance. Defect engineering is introduced in terms of defect definition, classification, characterization, construction, and understanding. Subsequently, the latest advances in defective electrocatalysts for ORR and HOR/SMOR in fuel cells are scientifically and systematically summarized. Furthermore, the structure–activity relationships between defect engineering and electrocatalytic ability are further illustrated by coupling experimental results and theoretical calculations. With a deeper understanding of these complex relationships, the integration of defective electrocatalysts into single fuel-cell systems is also discussed. Finally, the potential challenges and prospects of defective electrocatalysts are further proposed, covering controllable preparation, in situ characterization, and commercial applications. © 2020 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. Concrete cracking induced by strand corrosion can degrade bond strength and lead to prestress loss. A novel model is proposed to predict corrosion-induced prestress loss in pretensioned concrete structures. The coupling effects of concrete cracking and bond degradation are incorporated into the model. An experimental study is conducted to evaluate the effective prestress in eight corroded pretensioned concrete beams under various stress levels. Experimental results are employed to validate the proposed model. Results demonstrate that the proposed model can accurately predict prestress loss in corroded pretensioned concrete structures. Prestress loss depends on the corrosion degree. Corrosion-induced concrete cracking may not degrade bond strength and effective prestress unless corrosion loss exceeds 6.6%. As corrosion further progresses, bond strength and effective prestress decrease monotonically and then reduce to zero when corrosion loss reaches 34.0%. (C) 2020 American Society of Civil Engineers.

The investigation of the proposed methods is effective and convenient for solving the integrodifferential and difference equations. In this note, we introduce the generalized K-fractional integral in terms of a new parameter K > 0 for exponentially convex functions. This paper offers some novel inequalities of Ostrowski-type using the generalized K-fractional integral. In the application viewpoint, we proved several corollaries that investigate for proving Hermite-Hadamard inequalities for generalized K-fractional integral operator. Some numerical examples are offered to explain the obtained results. Moreover, some applications of proposed results are presented to the demonstration of the efficiency of the proposed technique. The numerical results show that our approach is superior to some related methodologies. © 2020 the Author(s), licensee AIMS Press.
