The cracking character is an evaluation index on the serviceability limit state of the reinforced concrete (RC) structure. 37 RC beams with different type reinforcement bars and ratio of reinforcement were made in the laboratory. The corrosion of reinforcement in RC beams was realized by accelerated electrochemical test. The corrosion ratio was controlled by the electric current density and time. The cracking character of the corroded RC beam in the static load test was discussed. Based on comparison between calculation results according to Code for design of highway reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete bridges and culverts (CDHRCPCBC) JTG D62- 2004 and Code for design of concrete structures (CDCS) GB50010-2002, the relation between corrosion ratio and crack spacing is established. The relationship between corrosion ratio and crack width is also given. The experimental results indicate the cracking character of the RC beams is the same as that of the uncorroded members when the corrosion ratio is little. However, both the crack spacing and width are increased quickly when the corrosion ratio becomes larger and larger.

Because of the large investment and the outstanding loan capitals in the construction process of expressway project, the Expressway Company (EC) is highly unable to pay back the loans in the business period, inducing enormous financial risk to corporation. Meanwhile, EC is prone to suffer from financial loss as a result from the influence of the cost expenditures in the operation of expressway and the internal and external environment of company. In this paper, based on the analysis of financial risk, a definition of Financial Risk Index System is proposed, following by the presentation of fundamentals and conditions for the construction of financial risk. Based on the four factors of risk indication, including the expending cost, macroeconomic environment, revenue and the management of Expressway Company, the construction scheme of operational early-warning Financial Risk Index System would be discussed. Last but not least, according to a integrated evaluation for various indicators, several correspondent methods for financial risk warning of expressway company would be presented.

Based on Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy models, the energy-to-peak filtering problem is studied for a class of nonlinear stochastic neutral systems with delays. Sufficient conditions on the stochastic stability with prescribed L <inf>2</inf>-L<inf>∞</inf> noise attenuation level are proposed. The conditions and the optimal design of the controller are formulated as a set of direct linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The effectiveness of the proposed method is illustrated by a simulation example.
