摘要:
Pertechnetate (TcO4-) is a component of low-activity waste (LAW) fractions of legacy nuclear waste, and the adsorption removal of TcO4- from LAW effluents would greatly benefit the site remediation process. However, available adsorbent materials lack the desired combination of low cost, radiolytic stability, and high selectivity. In this study, a ZnO nanoparticle-anchored biochar composite (ZBC) was fabricated and applied to potentially separate TcO4- from radioactive effluents. The as-synthesized material exhibited γ radiation resistance and superhydrophobicity, with a strong sorption capacity of 25,916 mg/kg for perrhenate (ReO4-), which was used in this study as a surrogate for radioactive pertechnetate (TcO4-). Additionally, the selectivity for ReO4- exceeded that for the competing ions I-, NO2-, NO3-, SO42-, PO43-, Cu2+, Fe3+, Al3+, and UO22+. These unique features show that ZBC is capable of selectively removing ReO4- from Hanford LAW melter off-gas scrubber simulant effluent. This selectivity stems from the synergistic effects of both the superhydrophobic surface of the sorbent and the inherent nature of sorbates. Furthermore, density functional theory (DFT) calculations indicated that ReO4- can form stable complexes on both the (100) and (002) planes of ZnO, of which, the (002) complexes have greater stability. Electron transfer from ReO4- on (002) was greater than that on (100). These phenomena may be because (002) has a lower surface energy than (100). Partial density of state (PDOS) analysis further confirms that ReO4- is chemisorbed on ZBC, which agrees with the findings of the Elovich kinetic model. This work provides a feasible pathway for scale-up to produce high-efficiency and cost-effective biosorbents for the removal of radionuclides. © 2019 Elsevier B.V.

聚丙烯作为一种性能优良的通用型热塑性塑料,在各个领域中得到了广泛使用.石墨烯具有优异的力学性能、导电性能和导热性能,是聚合物复合材料的理想填料.综述了石墨烯在聚丙烯中的应用,主要介绍了石墨烯在聚丙烯中的添加方法,包括熔融共混、溶液共混、原位聚合和乳液共混,归纳了这4种方法的优缺点,主要体现为石墨烯在聚丙烯中的分散性;总结了石墨烯对聚丙烯结晶和熔融行为、力学性能和导电性能的影响,具体表现为成核聚丙烯的结晶峰温度的高低以及半结晶时间的长短、刚性的改善效果和导电率的大小.根据石墨烯/聚丙烯复合材料的性能特征,展望了复合材料在未来的发展趋势.

摘要:
A simple and clean protocol for the synthesis of various alkyl and (hetero)aryl S-thiocarbamates was established. The usage of in situ generated hydroxide as both an oxygen source and hydrogen source as well as biomass-derived 2-methyltetrahydrofuran as a green reaction medium, the avoidance of phosphorus-containing reductant, and the generation of harmless water and nitrogen as the side-products have given the present method atom-economy and environmental friendliness. 摘要:
Spectrophotometric method is a simple and effective in situ analytical method for contaminants monitoring, but further improvement of its sensitivity and detection limit for radionuclides determination remains highly desirable. Herein, we report a simple and highly sensitive thiocyanate spectrophotometric method for the determination of radioactive Tc(VII) by studying its chemical analogue Re(VII) in different aqueous media. The colorless thiocyanate reacted with Re(VII) in hydrochloric acid solution in the presence of SnCl 2 producing a stable colored Re(IV)-SCN complex, which was extracted into ethyl acetate and then measured at 427 nm. Under optimized conditions, a strong linear relationship can be obtained in the range of 0.25–10 mg L −1 for Re(VII) with R 2 value > 0.9942, and the sensitivity of the method was found to be 0.004 μg cm −2 with detection limit of 0.027 mg L −1 . This assay provides highly sensitive detection of Re(VII) in environmental media that is high in NO 3 − , Cu 2+ , and Fe 3+ . We applied it to the determination of Re(VII) in the wide range of background solutions, including deionized water, groundwater, and seawater, and analysis results showed that none of the molar absorptivities for both groundwater and seawater backgrounds was statistically different from the deionized water background when the paired Student’s t test, at 95% confidence level, was applied. The operational simplicity, accuracy, and precision of the proposed method suggest that it can be a good alternative for the in situ analysis of pertechnetate in environmental media. © 2018, Institute of Chemistry, Slovak Academy of Sciences.

In this study, the removal of hexavalent chromium, a nonradioactive analogue of pertechnetate, from aqueous solution by bamboo shoot shell (BSS) biosorbent was investigated. Characterization of the sorbent was performed by element analysis and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The effects of diverse parameters including solution pH, adsorbent concentration and adsorption time on the adsorption process were discussed in detail. The adsorption of Cr(VI) by the BSS obeyed Elovich kinetic model and Freundlich isotherm model. The maximum adsorption capacity based on Langmuir model for BSS was 28.72mg/g, which was higher than that of other biosorbents previously reported in the literature. The thermodynamic analysis suggested that Cr(VI) adsorption was a spontaneous endothermic process. On the basis of these results, an adsorption-reduction interaction on the heterogeneous surface of biosorbent would be the predominant mechanism. The findings herein revealed that the BSS had great potential as a suitable and sustainable biosorbent material for the removal of pertechnetate. © 2019, Akadémiai Kiadó, Budapest, Hungary.

摘要:
Three α/β compound nucleating agents based on 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid tris(cyclohexylamide) (BTA-99) were prepared by using β-nucleating agents aromatic diamides (TMB-5), dicarboxylic acid salts (CaPi) and rare earth compound (WBG-II), and nucleation effects of the nucleating agents in isotactic polypropylene (iPP) were investigated. The optimal ratio of BTA-99 to TMB-5, CaPi and WBG-II was 1:1, 4:1 and 2:3, respectively, and the crystallization peak temperatures of iPP nucleated with BTA-99/TMB-5, BTA-99/CaPi and BTA-99/WBG-II were increased from 117.7 °C of pure iPP to 129.7 °C, 127.6 °C and 128.9 °C under the optimal ratio, respectively. Moreover, all compound nucleating agents with the optimal compound ratio improved both the stiffness and the toughness of iPP, and TMB-5 was more suitable as a component for preparing compound nucleating agents with BTA-99 than WBG-II and CaPi. Meanwhile, an interesting phenomenon was found that the smaller the difference of the nucleation efficiency between two nucleating agents, the better the nucleation effect of the compound agent was.

The effects of barium, calcium and zinc salts of the aliphatic dicarboxylic acids on the nucleation ability and formation of β-crystalline form in isotactic polypropylene (iPP) were investigated. The results showed that barium, calcium and zinc salts of aliphatic dicarboxylic acid were related to the number of carbon atoms in the acids, and carbon atomic numbers of 5–8 had good nucleation ability for iPP except calcium adipate and zinc pimelate, in which barium glutarate, calcium suberate and zinc suberate were highly efficient β-nucleating agents for iPP. In addition, the optimal addition amounts of barium glutarate, calcium suberate and zinc suberate were 0.1mass%, 0.1mass% and 0.15mass%, respectively, and the relative contents of β-crystals reached 0.9561, 0.9351 and 0.9447, respectively. The results of mechanical and thermal properties with the optimal addition amount showed that barium glutarate, calcium suberate and zinc suberate improved the toughness and thermal properties but decreased the rigidity of iPP. © 2018, Akadémiai Kiadó, Budapest, Hungary.

Octamethylenedicarboxylic dibenzoylhydrazide (TMC-300) was used as a nucleating agent for isotactic polypropylene (iPP) for the first time. The Avrami method and the Caze method were used to analyze the isothermal and non-isothermal crystallization kinetics of iPP incorporated with TMC-300, respectively. During isothermal crystallization, the half crystallization time at 130°C reduces from 130s of virgin iPP to 44s after addition of TMC-300, which reflects that TMC-300 increased the crystallization rate of iPP obviously. The crystallization activation energy decreases from 382.5kJmol −1 of virgin iPP to 275.3kJmol −1 of iPP/TMC-300. During non-isothermal crystallization, the crystallization peak temperature of iPP nucleated with TMC-300 was increased by 5.1°C when compared to that of virgin iPP at the cooling rate of 20°Cmin −1 , and both the reduction of half crystallization time and the increase in peak crystallization temperature also justified that the addition of TMC-300 accelerated the crystallization of iPP. © 2018, Akadémiai Kiadó, Budapest, Hungary.

In this work, octamethylenedicarboxylic dibenzoylhydrazide (TMC-300) was used as a highly efficient α-phase nucleating agent for isotactic polypropylene (iPP) for the first time. The influences of TMC-300 on crystallization and melting behaviors as well as mechanical and thermal properties of iPP were analyzed by differential scanning calorimeter, polarizing optical microscope, wide-angle X-ray diffractometer, and universal mechanical tests. The results reflected that TMC-300 had excellent nucleation effect and that 0.20 wt% was the optimal addition concentration for iPP. Compared to those of neat iPP, the crystallization temperature, the bending modulus, and the heat distortion temperature of nucleated iPP was increased by 7.10 °C, 14.3% and 18.30 °C, respectively, at 0.2 wt% addition amount of TMC-300. In addition, the spherulite size of iPP after addition of TMC-300 was also reduced obviously.

<jats:sec><jats:label /><jats:p>Starch nanocrystals (SNCs) have a small particle size and large surface area compared with traditional modified starch. In this study, SNCs were chemically modified by succinic anhydride in aqueous alkaline condition. With the ratio of succinic anhydride/SNCs (0.1–0.5) increasing, the degree of substitution of succinylated SNCs increases from 0.0481 to 0.1009, and the zeta potential becomes more negative. The SNCs and succinylated SNCs were characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and X‐ray diffraction (XRD). The adsorption of Cu(II) and methylene blue (MB) by SNCs and succinylated SNCs in aqueous solutions is also studied. The results show that succinylated SNCs have great adsorption capacity for Cu(II) and MB. The pseudo‐second‐order kinetics is correspond both with the adsorption of Cu(II) or MB and are also found to be well fitted by Freundlich isotherms model, which shows that adsorption of Cu(II) or MB on succinylated SNCs is mainly multilayer adsorption.</jats:p></jats:sec>

A series of adipic acid metal salts as nucleating agents for isotactic polypropylene (iPP) were synthesized from adipic acid (Adi) and corresponding metal hydroxides or chlorides by neutralization or double decomposition reaction. The effect of different adipate on the crystallization and melting behavior of iPP were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The results indicated that after adding different metal salts of adipic acids, the crystallization peak temperature of nucleated iPP was increased by different degree. Adi, barium adipate (Adi-Ba), and zinc adipate (Adi-Zn) had higher nucleation efficiency. Notably, Adi-Zn and Adi-Ba were highly effective β-crystal nucleating agents; the others were α-crystal nucleating agents. In addition, the relative content of β-crystals in nucleated iPP was higher than 0.9 with the addition of Adi-Ba or Adi-Zn, especially when Adi-Zn was added at 0.05mass% reached 0.9422, indicating that Adi-Ba and Adi-Zn are highly active and selective β-nucleating agents for iPP. © 2018, Akadémiai Kiadó, Budapest, Hungary.

摘要:
A highly efficient compound nucleating agent of carboxylated graphene/calcium pimelate (Gra/CaPi) for isotactic polypropylene (iPP) was prepared. The structure of Gra/CaPi was investigated by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy. The effects of Gra/CaPi on the crystallization and melting behaviors and crystalline morphology of iPP were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry, wide-angle X-ray diffraction and polarized optical microscopy. The results showed that CaPi and Gra were combined by chemical bonds, improved the dispersibility and nucleation ability of Gra in iPP. When the addition amount of Gra/CaPi in iPP was 0.3 mass%, the crystallization peak temperature was increased by 8.0°C and the relative content of ß-crystal in iPP reached up to 0.868 compared with that of pure iPP. © 2018, Akadémiai Kiadó, Budapest, Hungary.

Sodium bicyclic[2,2,1]heptane dicarboxylate (HPN-68) is a highly effective commercial isotactic polypropylene (iPP) nucleating agent. In this paper, isothermal crystallization behaviors of iPP nucleated with HPN-68 were investigated using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The calculation model of Lamberti based on the Avrami method was used for obtaining nucleus density from calorimetric crystallization curves recorded under isothermal conditions. A number of growth rate data have been obtained with the Lauritzen and Hoffman equation. General procedures to predict nucleus density by simple DSC measurements were described and applied successfully to iPP. Addition of HPN-68 shortened crystallization half-time (t1/2) and increased the crystallization rate of iPP, eventually the nucleus density of iPP nucleated with HPN-68 for finishing crystallization under higher crystallization temperature was larger than that of virgin iPP, leading to larger crystallization rate and shorter cycle time. © 2017, Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

Isothermal crystallization behavior of isotactic polypropylene (iPP) nucleated with three cyclic carboxylate nucleating agents, namely, sodium bicyclic[2,2,1] heptane dicarboxylate (HPN-68), sodiumbenzoate (Be-Na), and sodium salt of hexahydrophthalic acid (HHPA-Na), was investigated by using differential scanning calorimetry. The classical Avarmi method was used to evaluate the isothermal crystallization behavior of iPP. The nucleus density was obtained by the calculation model of Lamberti based on the Avrami method of crystallization kinetics from calorimetric crystallization curves recorded under isothermal conditions. This method was able to measure nucleus density and growth rate of nucleated iPP, for which the nucleation phenomenon was substantially heterogeneous. The addition of nucleating agents shortened the crystallization halftime (t1/2) and increased the crystallization rate of iPP under isothermal crystallization, eventually increasing the nucleus density of iPP nucleated with nucleating agents for finishing crystallization under higher crystallization temperature, which was larger than that of virgin iPP. The results of polarized optical microscopy also showed that the nucleus density and crystallization rate were greatly increased with addition of nucleating agents. In these three nucleating agents, HPN-68 had the best nucleation effect, and iPP nucleated with HPN-68 had shorter crystallization halftime and higher nucleus density than iPP nucleated with Be-Na and HHPA-Na. © 2017, Akadémiai Kiadó, Budapest, Hungary.

聚丙烯由于其原料来源广、价格低、加工简单等优点拥有良好的市场前景。但其球晶尺寸大、脆化温度高、冲击性能差等缺点导致其应用受到了很大范围的限制。添加成核剂是目前最有效的改性方法之一。作为研究最早的一类β成核剂之一,脂肪族二元羧酸盐对聚丙烯材料的刚性及表面硬度具有一定的积极作用而且成本相对较低,具有良好的热稳定性,并且不会对材料的其他性能产生影响。脂肪族二元羧酸盐类主要有2种制备方法,分别为中和法和复分解法,不同的制备方法也会对聚丙烯的成核性能产生一定的影响,主要综述了一系列脂肪族二元羧酸盐对聚丙烯成核性能的影响,并对脂肪族二元羧酸盐成核剂的发展提出展望。

摘要:
The silane coupling agent KH-550 was used to perform surface modification on calcium sulfate whiskers (CSW). Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis were used to characterize the effect of surface modification on enhancing the compatibility of CSW with isotactic polypropylene (iPP). Subsequently, the synergetic effect of CSW modified by KH-550 (K-CSW) and aryl amide β-nucleating agent dicyclohexyl-terephthalamide (commercial name: TMB-5) on increasing the relative content of β-crystals and the peak crystallization temperature of iPP was studied. The results showed that KH-550 was a suitable surfactant for surface modification of CSW and K-CSW had certain β-nucleating abilities for iPP. Moreover, for iPP nucleated with the K-CSW/TMB-5, the higher peak crystallization temperature and relative content of β-crystals (Kβ=0.84) were achieved, which were obviously better than those of iPP nucleated with K-CSW or TMB-5 independently, demonstrating that K-CSW/TMB-5 was a novel highly efficient compound β-nucleating agent for iPP and had certain synergistic effect for formation of β crystals. © 2018, Akadémiai Kiadó, Budapest, Hungary.

摘要:
The polycondensation of 2-pyrazolines is presented. The products are oligomers with the five-membered rings of the 2-pyrazoline as the backbone and the reaction is a polycondensation reaction by decomposition of ROH from the hydrogen atom in the -NH- group and the -OR in the ester group. Metal catalysts, reaction periods, and the addition amounts of the catalyst are investigated to optimize the reaction conditions. The products are down-/up-conversion fluorescence molecules that can significantly enhance cell imaging through the synchronized excitation of visible and near-infrared light and may be widely used in other optical fields. © 2018 American Chemical Society.

添加成核剂是目前最简单有效地改性iPP的重要方法之一,在iPP的加工过程中,成核剂小颗粒均匀地分散或者熔解在iPP熔体中,为iPP结晶提供了大量的异相晶核,通过其更多的界面吸附iPP分子,降低了聚丙烯靠分子链自身运动团聚而成核结晶所需的活化自由能,加快了结晶速率,缩短了结晶时间,提高了结晶峰温度,改善了iPP的宏观力学性能。不同成核剂对聚丙烯性能的改善效果不一样,并且,具有不同晶体结构的相同或相似化学结构的成核剂也具有不同的成核效果。综述了聚丙烯用成核剂化学结构以及晶体结构与成核性能关系的研究进展,并对成核剂未来的发展方向提出了展望。
